While I absolutely couldn't agree more that dubya is by far the worstest president evar, this headline is somewhat misleading. The amount they are referring to is dollars borrowed from other nations not neccessarily all money borrowed. And, they don't adjust to todays dollar value. A couple thousand bucks was living pretty fuckin' large in the 1700's.

The worst? It is going to have to get much worse than it is now before GW can claim his fame as the worst of all previous presidents.

George Washington is still to this day despised by all Native Americans.

At the end of WWII Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S Truman racked up a combined total of approximately 62,218,811 kills. Obviously not all of these deaths are attributed to these presidents, but the slaughters occurred on their watches after declaring neutrality and then later setting Little Boy and Fat Man loose over Japan.

Nixon was also very unpopular in his day even before the whole Watergate Scandal hit broke and vowed on live TV he would go down fighting before he gave up his dog.

bear in mind that the value of the dollar wasn't that different from now and 6 years ago. now consider that bush not only borrowed more than any other individual president, he borrowed more than all of them combined. now that's something to think about.

You are stupid. The number mentioned is the total deaths of everyone, military and civilian in WWII. So Truman 'racked up' several million kills when he lead the offense against Russia and Truman sent 6 million jews and roma to their deaths in concentration camps etc. etc.

To say George W is the most hated president internationally I think is fair. As for what he's done it doesn't really compare to a lot of other presidents, but its just as dirty. And the administration is blantant about it. What angers me about them is they officially declare the right to attack anyone anywhere and everyone here thinks its normal. Besides being loudmouthed they're basically Reagan III to the extreme. So nothing new really. Clinton was a breath of mildly fresh air in an era of the 5 term president.

The article is a bit misleading with the lack of attenntion to inflation, but I don't think the current problem is overstated.
