As far as I could tell, the attack against Ebaumsworld hurt SA more than it did anyone else. Hours later, Ebaums was disallowing forum registrations -- and the SA forums were unavailable.
I won't disagree. Ebaums and SA are at opposite ends of The Scale of Internet Quality. Still, a forum invasion leading to a bunch of DOS attacks that end up crippling your own site is a dumb way to play it... which is why you never see me launch one.
