I don't think they volunteered; I think they're cops. I think I've heard of law enforcement agencies training their dudes on tasers by first zapping them with one, so they know WTF. I like how one guy almost stabs his brain out when he falls over with that plastic knife in his hand.

Yeah that's what it looks like, and they often do that. It lets them know the power of the stun gun, so that they're confident about it and so they know not to just taser anyone. Those models look like the ones that fire the nasty barbs that stick into your skin.
