Coolest f'ing link! Wow. I just watched a couple of videos, and must say we've come a long way. You know, I never knew piloting these tin cans required so much work and concentration.

This link has doubled or tripled my admiration for the WWII flying aces. Imaging having to evade a luftwaffe pro while also worrying about the intakes, the intercooler flaps, and about a dozen or so annoying things that need constant adjusting. Even if it does become automatic after many hours of flying the same beast, the task is stillf ar from trivial.

But.... what about slash dot?.....

I will, however, bitch at links that could have ostensibly been lifted straight from /. long after popping up there, and will always bitch at you dude whenever you steal Slashdot comments and paste them on these forums verbatim.

When a link makes it to Slashdot, we should consider it 'known,' commodity, and moot. There are 8 million registered subscribers of Slashdot, with total readership of 10x that.

There are also hundreds of copycat sites which simply leech stories off Slashdot the minute they pop up. We don't want LS to hang out with that crowd, do we?

Am I suggesting that, if you get a link off another site, that you should double-check if it's been posted using 'Search' on Slashdot? Yes, I'd like that, insomuch as I'd like this site to carry original links. And we can agree that it is a noble goal, yes?
