Last month or so I read about a virus that actually made someone money along with the desired havoc.
Folks who had broadband and a phone line modem conected on their computers were the target. The hacker commandeered the internal modem on the targets machine to dial a one, nine hundred number. Of course, the 900 service denied any knowledge of the attack. Not sure if any refunds took place.
