How is it better than an IPOD?
1.It can play games.
2.It can play your Movies.
3.It can play your music.
4.It can view photos.
5.It can read Ebooks.
6.It runs on just 2 AA batteries
7.It can connect to your TV screen.
8.It runs Linux .
9.It's cheap.
10.It's open.
I guess the use of the word IPOD was a mistake, cause it seems that some of you can't wrap your head around it's awesomeness
I hate buying hardware, but this thing looks like it might actually be cool. It won't compare to the PSP in polished games or sheer power, I suspect, but it also won't cost as much.
I just hope it doesn't go the way of every other Linux-powered handheld I've heard about since the dawn of time.
I think that if I buy this, I'll just end up wishing I'd have bought a PSP is about 6 months... and 6 months after that I'd be wishing I'd have waited a year.
I don't think the technology is ripe for handhelds yet.
...although, with Microsoft pissing on the PALM tree and holding 85% of it's hardware vendors in it's shirt pocket, I'd say the age of the handheld is right around the corner.
I'll hold off on the handheld hardware purchase for a bit and see what happens next.
