Reminds me of a story one of my friends once told me.

He said Pakistanis were tough, real tough people. Real tough. How does he know? He (American-born) once made visit an uncle in Pakistan, for the first time. He wanted to go about his business, but noticed no toilet paper. And he said, 'Eh... uncle? How about what it is you do for, you know, cleaning the basement?' The uncle winked at him, and led him to a cupboard of sorts. And there, in the cupboard, there was a large collection of ROCKS !! Not the smooth kind either, but the kind that has lots of nooks and crannies, and painful grit to it, sandpaper-like. And that is why, my friends, Pakistanis are tough according to my friend.

You would hope if you weren't fortunate enough to have the box of disposable corn cobs, that the person using the cob before you would be courteous enough to eat the kernels he got his shit on. Eww. That would like double the corn consistency in your poop!

I heard that in India they use their left hand, then they wash it with a wet rag kept just for that purpose. Supposedly that's why they only eat with their right hand. They also squat and relieve themselves right in the street.
