if you watch the video, you'll notice this thing is way too slow for practical use right now. if i have to stop in front of the door, and wait for it to figure out how fat i am, then it's too slow. it's got to open up fast enough so i don't have to stop for it.
also, lots of moving parts=lots of breakable parts. i don't see these being used in the future at all unless they're fast and reliable.
