My son 14 year old 'came out' to me less than a year ago. I have since been in touch with different support groups PFLAG (families and friends of gays and lesbians) and others. My son is NOT sexually active. His father pounded the fundamentalist christian beliefs of the evils of sexual immorality and intolerance into the poor boy's head and he is convinced that he is doomed to go to hell because of how he feels (even if he does not act on the feelings of homosexuality he experiences). My son is smart, artistly gifted and kind hearted. If the God I beleive in is going to send him to hell because of this, then I will be more than happy to join him there. Rant finished.
