If they do discover it, it will cost millions upon millions of dollars and very few people will get it. These people will be shot or die in car accidents or just die of disease.

yes, it would be real expensive and a hit and miss proposistion at first...
but all new technologies are.
basic calculators cost around $70 when they first came out (that would be like $100 in todays dollars) now they are practically free. there are many more examples.

our governmernts invest way heavily in ways to kill people, and that 'research' is taken most seriously.

Point taken, but I think it is fair to say that biomedical cell rejuvenation is not neccesarily comparable to simple electronics. Theoretical medical procedures are always highly expensive. And as far as I can tell this is all theory, they don't adress any hypothetical methods in this article.

I don't buy any of this immortality stuff. Most people in the world can't even get cures to basic curable diseases like malaria and flu. If you don't die by aging there are a million other ways to die, and new ones are on their way (Avian Influenza, etc.)

All that medical technology, why not invest in some dentistry eah?

As far as living forever, not for me, this shit is too hard to do forecer. What if the next plane of existence, if it exists, is waiting to be discovered, hate to miss it. If not, I would not miss looking back. win win for me

However, the normal guy on the street is thinking like 'what, then i have to work till 100 or so?' or 'No, i dont want to see my wife 200 years more'
