Glaciers melt and recede(even arctic). Then they fucking build mass again, and they move. Its a natural part of the earths process. Could you imagine during the first ice age if those primitive people made a 'blanket' for the glaciers? What a bunch of retards we humans have become to be. Fucking environmentalists.

it WILL work, but not on such a large scale i suspect. blankets insulate. things that insulate prevent the transfer of energy... in this case heat. so a blanket keeps you warm by preventing heat from leaving your body. a blanket would keep a glacier cold by preventing heat from entering.
