See, here is where I'm gonna have to disagree. Anime originating from Japan is usually good. Anime made in America is generally bad. Also, anime that gets changed so that it can be viewed in America is usually changed for the worse. The term anime really doesn't just mean stuff that comes from Japan. Anime is just the term used to describe the japanese style of animation; anime doesn't refer to the talent behind the animation.
To prove my point, watch an episode of Pokemon. Then, watch the film Ghost in the Shell: Innocence. Both can be considered anime, however one sucks and the other does not.
