The one thing I refuse to look at...fuked up kids. I am a GW1 vet, and my little one is me most beautifulest EVAR! I was concerned, because she didn't have any hair on her head until she was almost 18 mo's old, but it grew in just fine. I do believe that we were exposed to some fuked up shit over there, but it didn't seem to stick to me.

It's ironic how the Gov't has denied for years the existance of Gulf War Syndrome. I have a friend who's child was fathered by a Vietnam vet exposed to Agent Orange, the child was born with his internal sexual organs on the outside of his body..claim denied by VA
I have heard about phospherous-lined shells and other extreme biohazards used in the Gulf wars. I would be interested in knowing your thoughts/knowledge on this Mr. Apocalypticae

Depleted uranium in tank rounds and high caliber bullets

Tracer rounds, used by most modern armies, contain phosphorus...that's what makes them visible. We also used white phosphorus grenades to disable vehicles and equipment. It burns at about 5000 degrees Fahrenheit; hot enough to burn through engine blocks. Although I know that it is poisonous, I am woefully uneducated as to the effects of indirect phosphorus exposure to humans (i.e. handling grenades or tracer rounds). I have seen plenty of what happens when it is burning through flesh, though.

U.S. made rounds containing depleted uranium are generally only a hazard to those they are being fired at, though I guess there may be some minute irradiation of the gunners and personnel who handle the rounds.

I believe Gulf War Syndrome was a result of the Iraqi's using chem/bio weapons against coalition forces. It is well documented that such weapons were deployed, particularly mycotoxins. We lived for days on end in our MOPP suits & chem masks. Our detection equipment went off constantly, and you weren't always sure whether it was just from the sand or if there was really shit in the air. That, in conjunction with the smoke from the oil fires, is probably what has made so many people sick.

Looks like radiation damage to me....I'm sticking with the Depleted Uranium Rounds theory. It turns to an aerosol on impact, after which our ground troups must travel though the debris clouds and residual dust.

That syndrome has been around for a long time. There was a link about it last week and another a couple months ago.

Azron is correct...this is a disease that was first observed in the latter 1700's, cause unknown. Makes for good 'The US Is The DEVIL' propaganda, though.
