I got to see them play about 10 years ago, I'd guess. They had a tag-team alternate frontman for when Joey couldn't handle singing. We didn't know then that he had cancer and was weak as shit.

The Ramones, incidentally, played their first gig at CBGB's within two weeks of the day I was born, so until they imploded, they had been playing together as long as I'd been *alive.*
