Remarks: This is what happens when you don't watch the switch indicators. Engineer assumed that the siding switch was properly lined, but not only was it not, it was not lined against him completely, so he picked it at 15 mph. All from HB&T Roadmaster on scene. I had a photography release from HB&T back then, and arrived on scene minutes after it happened, having just shot this guy crossing the SP at Tower 26 just minutes before.

Remarks: It was so tragic, we could see the trash around the loco how bad the crash was, the loco driver injured but not get his life away, the assistant was OK too but the truck driver died two days later after this accident. on the right the KIROW crane already set up for doing evacuation of derailment
