Cox D.C. Bureau Chief Alexander: Shutdown a 'Terrible Loss' But Andy Alexander already has another job lined up. "I will be actively involved in Washington journalism," the 60-year-old told E&P just hours after Cox announced the bureau would shut down April 1, 2009. Politico Network Signs More Than 60 Newspapers "The more people who hear about it, the more they come to us," said Jim Vandehei, Politico's executive editor. "We have government news, analysis, and they get the content they like and share the revenue." Rebecca Snoddy Named Asst. Controller at 'Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch' Rebecca Snoddy has been named assistant controller for the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch. Previously, she was an accounting manager for the newspaper. Before that, she was the accounts payable supervisor at Media General. Snoddy succeeds Jonathan Edwards.
