Because I was raised by Vas I was never allowed to listen to music or watch TV so I don't know who the Cure is!
Instead I will comment on my favorite Hilary Duff track at the moment.

I _never_ liked the cure, Adam Ant was always way cooler! I dont considure The Cure to be totaly Goth, but goth and pretentious enougth for me not to like. I also dont considure NIN's Pretty Hate Machine days to be goth though some do - its the begginings of Industrial in my books. I was listening to that whilst going on a totaly William Gibson bender in the early 90's - ahh heady days, had NO friends but heady days all the same
