Me, it depends on what my end result is. With meals, I got to drink Michelob. To get drunk, I will usually drink Bud, because it's fucking good. I enjoy socially drinking Labatts. But my favorite tasting all around beer is Red Stripe.

ghostrideryyz:...and Old Style rules all sectors....

I agree. Even though I've never tasted it. Maybe this and this are why (I wrote them -- Old Style took all the irresponsible binge-drinking and misogyny out though).

LuckyLuciano: Since I go to school in PA, I've found this Yuengling beer. Its not a bad lager and its bottled kinda close, so its cheap and fresh.

Same here. I had the Yeungling and I have to admit that it's pretty good for a lager. Most lagers are crap though.

I can probably name more beers that I thought were bad than good (for example: If you go to Barcelona, resist the urge to try Estrella Damm, just have sangria), but there have been a few that stood out:

1) McEwans 80/~ (or any Scottish 80/~, especially Belhaven and Caledonian)
2) Duvel - which has its own special Duvel glass. It's the champaign of beers.
3) Presidente - the best Spanish-name beer.

Honorable Mentions to Rolling Rock and Honey Browns (my first two beers). Guinness is alright, but it is not the best beer. Go somewhere where you can have it "extra cold."

Acidburn: I also have a fondness for Strong Bow but have only found it while in the Persian Gulf area...

Where are you from? I know of places in Canada (toronto) and Pennsylvania (Wayne) that have it. Also, its British, so you can get it in Europe.

Its not a beer though. Its cider.

I'm in SoCal but enjoyed Strong Bow while spending 5 1/2 months in the Gulf whilst in the Navy.."Let the bashing begin"

Honestly, I really love Miller High Life. It's the ultimate post-softball beverage.

Otherwise, I'm all about the wheat beers.

I have almost depleted the entire shipment for the season in my county for Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale for this year.

Very sad....

I still heart that.

There's a Middle Ages which might be local and a Long Trail. These are just the Greatest Hits, though.
