Can this be?

On a related note, I see Perry Farrell put out a new album on his own a while back. The peer-to-peer networks of this planet aren't hooking me up at the moment; has anyone heard it?

I heard about the new album a few days ago and thought I must be really out of the proverbial loop for not knowing about it, but I guess it was kind of a sneak attack by Perry and the boys. Rok.

WOW, I am a huge Jane's fan. I am really falling behind the times. I had no idea they were even working together.
I saw them twice live, once at the first Lollapalooza, and another in Omaha,Ne. They are amazing live! I did recently here from a guy at work about Farrell's effort.
On a side note, another great cd by bassist Avery and guitarist Navarro is Deconstruction. Funky and cool.

Yeah, Deconstruction kicked ass. I wish that hadn't been a one-off.

I never got to see Jane's Addiction, but I did get to see Porno for Pyros at Toad's Place in New Haven Connecticut. (Were they at the first cheesy Woodstock? Or a later Lollapalooza?) Good show, although my memories of it are fuzzy.

As far as history goes, I know they toured for a little while during the "Kettle Whistle" album -- which I haven't really been interested in buying, as I already own most of it on the original CDs, and so does everybody else in the country -- with Flea on bass, but the "reunion" and tour were meant to be short-term. Then Perry went a did a solo album, I guess. And then... what? They got together for another one-off thing? I dunno. Kooky.
