I gotta Power Mac 8.6 (place your Fred Flintstone joke here) with a cable modem hook up. I'm using Internet Explorer is Netscape a better idea? I would appreciate any thoughts or ideas you might have regarding this (place your Fred Flintstone joke here) And if you ever make your way to the Entertainment Capitol of the World, I will gladly buy you a few beers and a lap dance.

I dont know what that means.. you have a powermac 8.9 or 8.6? Do you mean, you have OS 8?
You are probably doing fine. If it works.. it works. Rock out with it or put linux on it and call it a day.

I have never used a Mac... always Windows-based systems. I am a little interested in them, and might get one in the future.
As for the browser? Dude. Avoid IE like you would avoid vasudeva's cockfuking.

Like Khz said, you probably using OS 8.6? I have one here in the entertainment capitol of the world running 8.6 just for fun. It was aquired via batering. I would definitely TRY to use netscape or run some enterprise firewall if you cant go the netscape route.
SN: if you plang on doing graphics and what not, then yes get one. If not I wouldnt actually spend money for one. They normally support a very specialized market and aska premium price for the hardware. Dont get me wrong, im not knocking them, but we do live in an intel/microsoft compatable pc world. It is always handy to have MAC knowledge in the field also, I got a job in the past with less experience than the rest, but being that i was comfortable with MACs, i got the job. The knowledge is never a waste

Yes I was in error. MAC OS 8.6 is correct. I had attempted an upgrade by covering up the 8.6 on my monitor screen with white-out and replaceing it with 8.9 in crayon. Of course it did not work. Was that because there aint no 8.9 or because I used crayon? As I mentioned my computer intelect is so minimal I have to ride the short bus to the web.
I am indeed thankful you took some time to offer your advice. Wise words are never wasted and I of course will heed them.
Again Thank You....Now who's ready for a frosty and a lap dance?

ps. Mr. McDeath thanks for cockfucking tip. All my life I have tried to avoid getting cockfucked all together. But now I see it's only getting cockfucked by vasudeva I need to avoid. That's gonna make my life a whole lot different. I'm in your debt.

Floppy, thanks. I was thinking that graphics would be what I would get a Mac for, actually. The GD course that just started at my school last semester uses Macs. They're beautiful looking machines.
