Good movie. I think the hype kind of ruined it a little for me, as it was not quite what I was expecting, but good nonetheless.
This movie had a PLOT. It had a good storyline, character development, etc. It did not rely solely on its special effects, (which were spectacular, by the way,) but rather put the problem-filled life of Peter Parker center stage. Thinking back, that is actually what I remember best about the cartoon series on TV. I always loved that, how they made Spidey human, identifiable. He seemed accessible, not just an ass-kicker like some of the other super heroes. This movie did a good job of continuing that.
I give it four out of five giant-ass fuck coffees.

So when you go out in public do you wear your Ninja uniform to hide your identity?

I didn't get that feeling at all. I think that there'll definitely be a 3rd one next summer, probably with Green Goblin's son as the villain.
I hope they get Venom, Rhino, the Shocker and Kingpin into the mix sometime soon.

i saw it last night. that movie was fantastic. In fact, it was better than the first one, IMO. Doc Octopus was fucking awesome.
The best improvement, I think was in the CGI. All the effects in spidey 2 blend much better with the live action than in the first one.
GO SEE IT. $43 million on opening day. This is a great flick.
COMIC FANS WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. Your faith in Marvel movies (or at least Sam Raimey) will be restored.
Just wait, after they finish this trilogy off, and the Fantastic Four trilogy, and the X Men trilogy, they have confirmed a Marvel Universe movie. that's right.
it might be 10 years from now, but soooooooooo worth it. Imagine the effects when THAT fux0r comes out. |

I'd enjoy them, but I also wouldn't admit it in public.

The only problem I had with the movie was that Doc Oc's arms had control over his mind, which seems to be the polar opposite of the comic version.
Doc's radiation surge caused accident permanently grafted the arms to his torso, and somehow links them to his mind (this is not explained) granting him mental control over his mechanical arms. --SPIDER-MAN #3 (July 1963)
In the 1964 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL, “The Sinister Six!” prison doctors find a way to seperate Octavious from his arms, long story short, Doc Oc uses a sort of psionic remote control to summon his arms, break him out of the klink and get him the Hell outa Dodge.
In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #88-90, Doc Oc sends his disembodied limbs to squish Spidey, But Parker secretes some sort of geek fluid which fuks up Doc's control over tha arms (hooray for science)
Anyhoo Doc contrrols arms, not other way around.
holy fuk am I ever a geek. |
