OK,
I have been going on a mad hunt for some new music. I know that some of you out there might have a few suggestions and tid-bits of sound that you might like listening to.
I am looking for music down the same lines as these artists.
Aphex Twin
Autechre
Chemical Brothers
Coil
Dopplereffekt
Figurine
Leftfield
LFO
Marumari
Mogwai
Orbital
Plaid
Plastikman
Squarepusher
Underworld
Any other suggestions? I think it would be nice to build a decent list of good electronic music. Thanks.

I don't know any of those bands. Have you ever heard the bootleg soundboard tape from the Grateful Dead concert at the Meadowlands 7/11/86?

Here is a little site that I love. They focus mostly on Trance/Progressive House/House. All are live sets and best of all... FREE! You basically have an unlimited supply of electronic beats, all current stuff too. Only bad thing is you have to d/l a few programs (2 ?) to get everything setup for yourself.
Don't worry about the 'netpumper' thing, just get the anti-leach plugin and when you go to download, just choose "download using normals ways" (or whatever it is) on the bottom left. You won't have to use netpumper then.
You might think it's bad they only have sets up for a week but trust me, you get hours and hours of stuff. By the time you listen to what you D/L there is new stuff up. Let me know what you think!

DJ Kmac is along those lines. Last I heard, he was offered residency in about 10 minutes at Exit in NYC.

Also I highly recommend seeing Squarepusher live.
Holy Fuckin Shit! I've never experienced a live show so intense. I got 10x the ass beating I was expecting. Best show I've ever seen, Cassette Boy was fun(ny) too.
