These people weren't aware of the recent actions or are they taking some kinda stance over the whole issue?

I would love to see a story about how one of the RIAA's lawyers is found out to be one of the biggest piraters out there. why not just sue the world, were all guilty in one form or another.

The RIAA has had it's collective dick in a knot over file sharing for years. They piss and moan and complain and sometimes take a hard line but they never ask what's the cause or realize that now that the technology is so wide spread a few prosecutions aren't going to make it go away. They've spent too long thinking of entertainment as a hard commodity, like a stereo system, and now they can't shift gears and see it as a soft commodity, like an idea.
I think that what really scares the recording industry is that they, with their big offices and high dollar execs are rapidly becomming superfluous. Any artist who can think out of the box can self publish and sell their music over the web directly to the consumer and eliminate the asshole middle men.

Ecactly...who needs the big wigs...I never understood why you need all those "Others" I mean...do a little extra work, and market yourself, and do all the work yourself...sure its harder that way, and you actually need to be a little smarter, but just look at how much money you lose, going to everyone else to get your shit in order.
