I just got a 128mb model. It is no frills and it fucking rocks! I can run/work-out with it and not worry about it cracking in half or breaking a screen like the above wussy gadgets. |

Maybe you didnt notice the trend here, but these all all HDD based. Not those crap ass solid state hold 2 cd pieces of anus juice. FUCKING META.. GET ON THE BALL.

Right, but HDD means, by definition, moving parts, spinning platters, delicate read heads, etc, yes? I just bought a 256mb flashcard for my camera at CompUSA -- it was $69. (BestBuy wanted $99 for it, but that's almost another story except not really.)
Why can't we be using gigabyte flash cards for these shits?

eventually that will be the case... it is just way too expensive to get 10 gigs of flash mem together, plus they dont stack. So, once they start getting more space going in that direction, it will not only make mp3s more efficient, but it might murder the IDE. I really dig the toshiba gigabeat. But it says that it wont be released until October... in Japan... sorta sucks.
