Clapton is not God but his music puts you closer,and all Blues make me fell a bit more like the spiritual being I was meant to be. The counting crows and train move me still , but I like surf punk death metal most non-poppy alternative., even classical at the right time. I'm not sophisticated enough or impaired enough to understand Jazz though. There's lots of good music if you're lookin which obviously the dude who started with the rant is not.
