After a few beers at the hotel my itsy little brain had an idea that would make Einstien give me the whats up nod at the urinal. If 1 is good and 2 is better than 4 is astronomical. Is it possible to quadruple the internet speed you are using by having 4 internet access devices hooked up at once? Could IE or mozilla be forced to use all connections active?

back in the day, i remember folks talking about "shotgunning" 2 dial up connections for quicker dial up speeds. but, i got into pot and never took the time to really learn about it so i can't apply any real knowledge to this post. |

I don't believe so, not the way you're thinking. You might be able to set one of the browsers to run off a proxy connection and have your 1st source, say wireless, be that proxy while the wired serves as the main connection. But your two internet access methods are still split and not sharing the load/increasing your speed.
I've seen Windows choke on two connections before, Wired and Wireless. It didn't know which one to use to load web pages. Plus this just sounds dumb and complicated.
Most good (Cisco) routers are capable of handling two or more connections to allow more bandwidth if one massive pipe isn't available. Like 4 T1s being utilized at once, for instance.

Slow down, Szilard.
I used to use a piece of provisioning software to facilitate this precise scenario. I "combined" my internets w/a strong wireless connection in my hood in hopes of boosting my bandwidth. It rarely worked well, and I quickly shitcanned it.
If I remember what that piece of shit was called, I'll update you.
