I noticed Vas bought a pretty dang nice new ride, and I just happened to buy something new/used myself. So let's post our vehicles; old, new, junks, projects - whatever!
*EDIT - I like where Nocal went with his posting, so I shall post the history of my beaters.
1981 Chevy Malibu: $200
My very first car, bought by my father for $200. I killed it the first week I had it because I got stuck in the snow in the local cemetery trying to get it on with my girlfriend and hoped that stomping the gas for as long as possible would get the car out. It toasted the engine.

1986 Chevy Celebrity: $300
My friends father sold me the car, and I drove it into the fucking ground. I had it for about 2 years.

1988 Nissan Pulsar XL: $2,000
This was my first financed vehicle, and I was about 18 when I got it. I had it for a few months and crashed it into a pole and would up nearly killing myself, literally. I didn't and couldn't drive for the next year and a half.

1994 Plymouth Laser: $6500
I bought this once I could walk and drive again. I kept this car for about 3 years until the timing belt went. This was my first standard, and I loved the shit out of it.

1998 Eagle Vision: $9500
This was by far my favorite car I ever owned. I bought it because it was a standard/auto hybrid, even though I never once used manual shifting. I drove this car across the country when I moved out west. I had it for about 4.5 years.

1997 Chevy S10 Blazer: $7200
I really loved this thing when I bought it 3 years ago. She's starting to act up and I am thinking about driving her into some kids, then a lake.

2002 Ford Ranger XLT: $13900
So far I like it. The ride is still pretty stiff, and the 4 wheel drive can act up while driving in snow. I'm happy to have the bed, though.

Moar new wheels

my car is my primary hobby, i've been into volkswagens since i got my first car @ 16, a 74 super beetle. this is my 9th VW, they've been great cars, and i enjoy the people/scene the cars attract.
tis a 02 VW passat. V6, fully loaded, tiptronic. i just sold these wheels in order to move on to something new, i'm also a bit of a wheel collector as well. i like old, rare, expensive, multi-piece wheels (this set sold for $2500).
i also enjoy automotive photography and it gives me something to shoot.

first car i ever really had as my own was a canary yellow 1985 chevy cavalier.
it looked like this, but a brightish shade of yellow:

it had a brown vinyl seats. it had a radio that went off intermittently, but i found that if you hit the dash with your fist, it would come back. didn't have a tape deck. the ceiling fabric was separating from the ceiling and would kind of sag down. the brakes would lock up at stop signs, so driving 25 in a neighborhood, i would skid to a stop every block.
at least it only had about 50K miles right? well, the speedo only had 5 digits. so it may have had 150K or 250K or 350K or fucking 950K.
next car was the first car i bought. a green subaru svx that looked basically like this:

designed by the same people that did the delorean. it had the same kind of delorean windows, but not so frickin small. all around a cool car.
i crashed it. luckily i went to college and didn't need a car for four years.
then my stepmom got a new(er) car, so i got her 1997 toyota camry. in champagne. it's like the most common fucking car on the road. it's pretty decent though, besides the fact that she got one of the first ones and so the paint had issues, and the stereo is getting shitty.
if you can't picture it, this is what it looks like:

gis'd stuffs:
lol @ nocal's first car.
my first car was similar to this:

an 88 (i think) chevrolet corsica. my parents got some money from my brother and i and helped us get it. when he moved to ohio it was basically mine. the 4 cylinder was so weak, i'd have to consciously plan a passing strategy. if i remembered or suspected i was approaching a passing area, i'd drop back maybe 3 car lengths from the car i'm behind prior to approach. on approach, i'd start accelerating - slowly - and scan the opposite lane ahead to see if i was clear. if everything went well, i'd be up to about passing speed right when i'd need to move into the other lane and right as we hit the passing zone. it would also sputter/stall/fail to start in cold weather and in heavy rain. i remember a summer i was working at a farm, driving home after a draining 10 hours, and getting stranded in a tremendous downpour about two miles away from home.
2006 Honda Accord SE (4cyl):
it's a stick, which i thought would be insane considering where we live, but unless traffic's extraordinarily terrible it gives me something to do other than just getting irritated.

we had to buy this pretty quickly after the head gasket on my wife's 4 year old altima blew. we've been very happy with it.
1997 Dodge Avenger Sport (v6):
we bought this last year from a coworker on the cheap and put some money into repairs. this is basically the same car (color/interior) that i had totalled five years ago (a 96).

well, except for the rims. this pic shows the current rims, which i don't like as much as my old rims:

i had upgraded the rotors on the one i had previously, and they would probably be nice on this one, but i'm not too sure about putting any more money into it. it's at around 100k and the transmission's one of the worst ever made. i love it, though; i missed not having a sunroof.

This is my little red '05 SRT-4. I fucking love to drive this car. It's sporting 265 HP and still manages to average 26 mpg. I've got a 2" lowering kit sitting in the basement that's going on it in the spring. I also want to have the antenna removed and erased to clean it up a bit. I use satellite radio so I don't need the huge, external antenna.
It's dirty as hell from the roads right now but it still scoots.
It's a 2.4 inline 4 with an upgraded turbo and fuel rail. It's got an inter-cooler to feed it nice cold air all year round. It has over-sized disk brakes to stop it on a dime and 17" wheels that help it handle like a dream.

The thing I like the most about it is this:

...and yes, it can actually go 160.

My first three cars were VW rabbits and rabbit GTi's
Like so: (not my car pictured)

A '78, an '81, and an '84 in various states of tune.
The first one was a hand-me down from my pops, the second was $500 and looked it. It was that horrible bronze color, and the guy I bought it from had rattle canned it bright yellow. It took one winter before big chunks of paint peeled off and it started looking like a giraffe.
The third one ($1000) I actually put some time into, had the VW G-grind cam, some (overly) stiff racing springs, and a few other tweaks. That one I managed to hop off the road and high-center on a rock.
Next was an '85 GTi. ($4000) (shocking, I know.)
(Also not my car pictured, but close.)

This one was a former show car; shaved door handles, a ridonkulous stereo system (three amps, 2 15" JL subs), power recaro seats. It was absolutely tits. I actually still had this car up untill a few weeks ago, but I am done fucking with 'dubs forever.
Right now, I'm rolling a 2001 SAAB 9-3 se.

Bought it last year for just under $10k. It's my first turbo car, so I'm taking it slow fiddling with it, but I absolutely love the thing.

STOCK PHOTO because I don't have a digital camera. 2005 Accord V6, fucking loaded except for navigation because this nigga can read a map. It's great except for snow - it's lightweight and the wheelbase is small so it slides around in less than an inch sometimes. One-owner car and I scored big because that owner was an old lady who rarely drove it and kept in in a garage.
I'm definitely looking at Honda when I buy again.

This is Heet's newest ride, we have had it for about a year. LBP refers to it as the turtle. Greta in the snow so far, mileage not bad.

The only pic I have of my truck is a close up of some deer/truck interaction, but I have a '94 S-10 that I'm gonna drive into the ground. I paid $1500 cash for it 4 years ago, have put maybe $1000 into it, and it has about 220K miles on it.
My favorite vehicle is below.

1990 S15 4x4 Jimmy my grandfather bought new.I drive it one day a week during mowing season to pull a tandem trailer with my lawn, garden, and landscape equipment.

The gf's 2005 Honda Element. It has a low entry step and rear seats that fold up to the sides. Great for hauling dogs and groceries.

My main transportation is a 1998 4x4 Tahoe.

Walmart special DVD player for the kids.

Two batteries with two small power inverters so the kids can plug in their game cube, play station, or whatever the fuck game system of the month is.

I've still got my 1969 Rally Sport Camaro. Had since my teen years and will restore it again one of these days.

Bonus pic of Bubba and his goobers after munching raw hide.

I have always liked General Motors vehicles.I've had a 74 Camaro (my first car), a 77 Camaro, 77 Grand Prix, 77 Trans Am, 50 Chevy show truck, 86 Buick Riviera, 85 Grand National (loved it), a late 80s or early 90 Chevy Impala (i can't remember) 2 1978 4x4 Ford trucks long and short beds. I worked at a Chrysler dealership thought the 1990s and bought a Spirit, Lebaron convertible, and a 4x4 Dodge Ram quad cab. I love me some Detroit iron.

My very first vehicle was a comedy of errors, picture this 1971 F150:

Now picture it with covered with rusty fist-sized holes all over it, a chev gas tank with a rag stuffed in the filler pipe (like a rolling molotov cocktail), and a tractor shifter that was spot welded to what was left of the nub left when the origional broke off. I worked a whole summer on a pig farm for that baby.
fastlane: 85 Grand National
I had the poor man's national, the 82 Regal Turbo, it was awesome until I snapped a wheel off it fucking around the backroads. Buicks are probably the most underrated muscle cars, everyone else thinks 'cudas, mustangs, corvettes and camaros. I loved the shit out of this car, it had a 3.8 liter V6 that pushed 170hp and 265-lbs.ft. of torque.

I bought a Plymouth Fury from my friends dad, I had high hopes for it, but I could never get it to pass safety (no matter how much bondo I used). Interestingly enough, the only pic I can google looks hauntingly like the car as I bought it.

***THE SHAME YEARS***
Mom gave me this when she bought her Cadillac, it sucked. Steel and I used to Starsky and Hutch like motherfuckers around the backroads in it though, I used to fill it up with transmission fluid every time I got gas before it died.

I want to forget this 85 Pontiac Firefly, I drove the shit out of it and it died, I remember Steel and I taking 3 hrs to make a 1 hr trip into Ottawa one day.

My very first financed auto purchase, sold to me by this grandfatherly type dude who I could trust. In all fairness, this car wasn't half bad, it just had a curse put on it when it killed 40 workers at the assembly plant and made every day I owned it a living hell.

When it died, there was a (I shit you not) foot wide hole in the driver's side footwell, I would literally be soaked to the knees driving it in the snow and slush during the winter.
***END SHAME YEARS***
96 Buick Regal, I fucking love Buicks, they are the best cars I have ever owned. This one (like my last one) was a rocket, it had the same 3.8 V6 but lacked the turbocharger. It was old and some costly repairs were on the horizon, so I traded it in for my current wheels.

2000 KIA SPORTAGE!!!!!
Yeah go ahead and laugh, but I love this goddam thing.

One of my co-workers used to be an engineer for the KIA platform when it was developed in Korea, he couldn't say enough good things about this kittygrowl. I told him he was full of shit, and he told me I was a stupid fat fuck roundeye with a sense of false North American superiority. Then he told me about Darren Skilton and the mostly stock Sportage he races (this info makes me feel good about owning it). I have driven this thing through insane weather, and over rough terrain, it fucking rocks.
