Ok great now that I have your attention. I really do work at a cemetery and trust me there is alot going on.I have started my journal and plan to keep up with it on a weekly basis. But back to basics, I am a n00b. Blah, blah, go ahead point and laugh. So far Linkswarm is cool. The people are interesting and never boring. So look up my profile or whatever and then forget me as I slip into the back of the crowd and watch the rest of the party.

I used to do a lot of cemetary photography. If I ever dig out the photos, I'll post a few here.

I worked briefly at a funeral home while at uni. I would show the bereaved to the 'Slumber Room', where the corpse of their loved one was waiting.

See there are more of us out there than people think. I dont work a funeral home I work right on cemetery grounds. I plan your burial not your funeral. LOL But what a job!!! I can't say its boring. |

The answer is "No" It is against the law to open a casket once it leaves the funeral home. In general the casket is "locked" after the family has said thier "goodbyes" after a funeral and only the Funeral Director can open it, as long as it is still on Funeral home property. |

I suppose thre are certain people who assist in what you call " celebrity funeral directors" Some Directors handle stress better than others, some don't mind being in a spotlight. It just depends on the Funeral home really and what they will allow in terms of a "funeral "
