I’d like to sponsor a contest to generate participation from the lurkers and newbs around here. I’ll kick in some cash for alpha subscriptions as prizes. In order to qualify, the participants must have five or less submitted links and be a current non alpha as of this posting. The objective is to be the first have ten links approved by the alpha queue.
Any suggestions to make this more interesting? Want to donate a prize?

I think admin approved links should count as well(if not more). Thread participation should also be considered, as well as bra size.

I was thinking of the AQ for the randomness factor. I like the inclusion of thread participation. What do you suggest?

OK MAM! Lets get this party started! Set the start date and the parameters. I would also suggest there be some sort of booby prize for the most rejects, however that would be tricky so as we don't get spam or just say 10 links from cnn.com in one day. If it is a booby prize it should some forum thread of shame with photoshops and messages of vile and hate.

I guess this is a go. I propose a two week period for contestants to sign up. The prizes; first place: 9 months alpha, second place: 6 months alpha, third place: a $25 Dunkin Donuts card for you to love and cherish forever. Most rejected links, a one month avatar text war perhaps? In order to claim a prize I think the players should have to post some thing in the contest thread maybe a specific pic of something unusual that would require some hunting.

Just a thought; you might want to start a new thread with the title: "WIN FREE ALPHA MEMBERSHIP!" or something such as, with maps for the poor, or something such as.
