As I'm powering through the queue this morning, I happen to see this:
Other than the text I added, this image is not touched up. This is a selection from the actual screen cap. How did a Linkswarm logo get stuck into an ad bar on Yahoo! News?
In my ignorance I'm guessing that it has something to do with the queue frame and somehow the Yahoo site scraped the logo out of the frame or something.
Any ideas on how this could happen?

Most likely explanation is browser error. Your browser threw a clot.
Second most likely explanation is scripting oddity on the site that allowed it to reference the wrong image in your browser memory,
Third most likely explanation is it's the endtimes.

All of the above make sense to me. Firefox does act a bit squirmy under Vista. I wouldn't be surprised by any such browser fart.

It's not related to the OS. I got the same thing with XP and FF, but only when I turned off adblock. It probably has something to do with Yahoo's ad script trying to mate with the frame and being unsuccessful. Note how the linkswarm logo takes the place of their small flash ad when the frame is up.
Either way, it's guitarjon's fault.

I wonder if they're pre-loading some image on their side, and then trying to reference it something like document.image_first, but since they're in a frameset, the first image is the LinkSwarm logo, which renders first on the page.
Except, no, because the image doesn't display in the Alpha Queue frameset.
Who knows.
