When it's done, you'll be able to mail in pictures from your camera phone, only instead of them quietly sitting god-knows-where as a result, they'll be automatically posted under your username to the forums. 'Photoblogging', Lefen calls it, which unfortunately could be pretty accurate. Or, if you ever played with mobog, a direct rip-off of that. What I'm envisioning is having a single forum thread that everyone's photos route to (kind of like the Favorite Gif thread), and later on building in an option to let the photo also/only route to a specific Journal entry of yours, which you could use as kind of an ad-hoc photo album. ____________________ mundhra: And its crocobody is made of dile. I'm always snapping shots with my phone. One thing that might be a problem though, my phone sends each pic with a default name: downsize.jpg (I think) is that going to be a problem, or can you script around that? I'd hate to have to give each image a name before sending. I'm looking forward to seeing this integrated into the swarm. I think we can have a lot of fun with something like this and it will surely add up to a shitpile of cool content. It would also be cool to see a spot in the sidebar (below the shoutbox?) that displays the latest image, or random images, or something. I've gotten the camphone shit largely working. Instructions and answers to most of your questions should be within. That thread is in the crapyard because I'm not ready for it to go primetime until I've weeded out more bugs, but I figure bumping this thread with this should be low-key enough.
