I travel a few times a year, and some of you travel often, so which airports have the awesome grub? I ended up at Cleveland once where they have a Great Lakes Brewpub, which is incredible beer, and even more so on tap. My all time favorite is S.F. airport. I am upset if I don't have a few hours there. They have top notch sushi, and the Anchor Steam pub has Dungeness crab appitizers to die for. Where are you favorites? How is the grub at foreign ports of call?

Best: O'Hare & the aforementioned SF International. Also, Strauß International in Munich is the best I've found in Europe.
Worst: LaGuardia & Charles DeGaul hands down. The food really isn't bad at DeGaul, it just feels like you're eating it in a NY subway bathroom.

The airport here in Madison has a "German" restaurant that serves a mean breakfast.

I vividly remember how nasty airport food was in the 70's and 80's and am still too traumatized to test The New Improved Airport Fare. Perhaps the early childhood goat trauma has made me inflexible and un-trusting. |

My hometown airport in the 70s rocked because it had a local diner place. I hated the early 90s move to Gold Standard, where everything was contracted to one corporation.
