So what is Cloverfield? It’s a giant monster movie (referred internally as “The Parasite”) which is shot using home video cameras from the point of view of real people who are experiencing the attack on New York City. There is nothing saying that NYC is or is not the only city being attacked.
There are tons of boards out there about it, and I'm lazy. So to make things easier for all us Swarmers I figured it would be useful to have a forum to post info to regarding this.

I haven't looked at any of your links, but I have a firm belief that this is a movie, based off of/full of clues for "LOST".
A) JJ Abrams - Producer?
B) When you watch the trailer, just fucking listen to the sound the monster makes... familiar? Yes its on the island...
C) Remember all the LOST clues before hidden in the real world? The websites, the book released that made no mention of lost...
I don't know about any of this because I've never watched an episode of LOST on the network it's owned by. I watched three seasons last summer after purchasing them from iTunes and I was hooked after the first one. I watched every episode, some of them multiple times. I only became interested because of this.
I look forward to season 4 but I'll certainly not schedule my time around sitting in front of a network broadcast and eating its commercials. I'll buy the season from iTunes as soon as I can and download each episode the morning after it airs. I'll watch each during my lunch break... just like I did for the last 5 episodes last season.
I might go see this Cloverfield Project when it hits town but Ima be pissed if this shit has nothing to do with LOST.

I've been excited about this since I saw the trailer when I took my nephews to see Transformers.
It's going to be a Big Monster movie, which is something that Japan had mastery over with the Godzilla series, but that which Hollywood tried to ape with their version starring Matthew Broderick, but ultimately failed on (but I'll admit I think it's good Saturday afternoon pap).
Anyway, I think the premise of something huge and scary is Trump food. The viral marketing is kinda cool (it could have been updated a bit more) and the idea of a first-person, BIG horror/fantasy movie could be balls. I just hope there isn't a lot of Blair Witch-esque lags in the story.

I saw a drawing a while back which posited this was a huge mutated sperm whale with legs. I guess that may go with the Slusho mythos about testing in the ocean.

I am srsly stoked about this movie. If it's good, I'll enjoy watching it. If it's bad, I'll enjoy watching it. I've never seen Lost, so I hope there is no connection. Seeing Manhattan getting fuxx0red can only be all good.

cloverfield is about some bigass human-like faced, scaly, red eyed monster. it comes to NYC from like a comet or something, and it has little parasite babies. it also spews this gas stuff. if too much of the gas is breathed or if one of the parasite things get to you your eyes start bleeding then you explode, thus releasing a shitload more parasites. ( if youve seen the commercial with the part that has 2 guys holding a rapidly expanding woman behind a curtain then you know).

I'm glad you posted this for two reasons. One, it resolves my curiosity about the Cloverfield thing. Two, it makes me feel less bad for losing interest in Lost, since I can conclude that the grand mystery underpinning that whole messy juggling act is probably around as dumb as the comet-bugs-monster-injector idea.
