Alright, so I wasn't on long enough to get Vas's message so I could be first in here. It doesn't matter, just want to publicly thank him for accepting the idea and others for kicking in so soon.
Some of what I'm posting here is just for shit's and giggles, I would like some opinions though on if you think some of the shots are decent enough to sell at a local coffeehouse or the likes. I'm not lookng to get rich, I'd just like to make enough to buy a better camera then my point and shoot and some lenses.
I'm mostly into nature style photography, and these are all unaltered,

This particular shot and some other similar ones I want to play with the tones on.

So there's some of them in the raw form (okay, a lot of them) - I need to do some cropping and when I find the time a little fine tuning. Be brutal, that's part of the intent I had behind this thread for critiques or admiration of other's work.
If you manipulate your digital images maybe post a before and after shot - as long as it's yours originally. Have fun and have at it.

Some (all ) of these are beautiful.
Have you heard of Webshots? It might be a good source of exposure and maybe even a few dollars. (Maybe)

woah there, dont get ahead of yourself. These shots are nice, but there are resolution and exposure issues that should be dealt with. What kind of camera are you using? and if possible, go into the settings and up the picture quality. You can do a lot of touch-up work with photoshop, and there are some great plug-ins for fixing exposure, balance and all that shiznit. The only thing you can't fix in photoshop is the resolution. Grain might look cool on film photography, but in digital it just looks cheap. There are some damn decent point n shoots out there with great picture quality, but if you want the most out of yours - get a tripod, learn how to fuck around with the custom settings (if you have any on your camera), setting shutter speeds, etc.. These are good, but they could be better.

The mountainy-creek shots make me want to move back East. What town are those from?

The covered bridge and the Kent waterfalls look very similar to places around here in northeast Ohio where I live.We have quite a few covered bridges in this area.
You wouldn`t happen to live in NE Ohio would ya?

The shot where the shit is growing up the side of the barn is potentially awesome.
They are all nice, but I feel there are too many exposure and res issues that are acting as hurdles for my eyeballs - I can't seem to focus on the composition.
Also, I'm always looking for beautiful water photography (waterfalls, streams) to include in my designs for work.

Yeah - the resolution I figured was an issue, I realized after seeing how many shots I wanted vs. how many memory cards I had that I had to drop it. I am planning on playing with them in PS - contrast, tones, balance etc.
[quote=guitarjon123]Grain might look cool on film photography, but in digital it just looks cheap.
In this case I would be looking at printing them at a max of 8"X10" as I realize the resolution is an issue - I'd have to actually see how it comes out on a decent printer though. Who says the buyer has to know they're digital (assuming there is a buyer)?
I know a tripod would have helped some shots, but most of them weren't conducive to one. The barn ones I was on the corner of a busy road with no shoulder, and most of the water ones were taken on my stomach or knees for a different perspective and composition.
Vas & Senor_Smoke - They're all from Kent, CT, And trust me Vas, you really don't want to move back here.
The camera itself is a Fuji 3MP point and shoot, it has presets on it for portrait, landscape, etc. and very limited settings for shutter and f stops - one is dependent on the other. That's the reason I'm looking to save up/make some money - to pick up a better camera (Canon SLR - I already have lenses).
Thanks for the pointers guys, and I may see about Webshots.

they look good. a few things i might try to make them even better:
first, times to shoot...never high noon, notice how the bright sun "blows out" the white highlights in some of the pictures? shooting around sunrise/sunset produces naturally flattering pictures that require little post processing to be "photos" and not just snapshots. maybe you've heard of "the magic hour", this is the hour or so of good/soft/colorful light you get right before a sunset (or right after a sunrise). this can make a HUGE difference. since you're into shooting landscapes, you have to leave the lighting to mother nature. if you can re-shoot these, try it with the right lighting and do it with a tri-pod.
speaking of which, get and use a tri-pod. most tripods are aluminum so they're not gonna rust on you, get em wet and get the shot. or maybe look into a monopod at least. alot of these shots are really soft. a tripod will help keep the detail of the photos, important if your shooting alot of small, detail-rich things likes leaves.
as for camera settings, do you have a S or an A program setting? these are shutter priority and aperture priorty. these allow you to set one value to your liking and the camera will select the correct 2nd value. i shoot in A mode. if the light allows, i set the aperture to between f9-11 (this range provides the most detail throughout the entire depth of field). producing clear foregrounds as well as the mountains in the distance. i set the aperture and the camera sets the shutter accordingly. there are formulas and other rules, but i try to keep the shutter speed above 1/50 sec. to help prevent blur.
also, another thing you MUST learn to do is to take more pictures. if you go to shoot another waterfall, you should leave with at least 100 pics to sort thru. this way, when you find that "great shot" kinda place, your chances of getting that great shot is increased by having multiple attempts. every once in a while, you get that one pic where the light and the focus and everything just comes together. i will take at least 2 pics any time i frame the camera for a shot.

overall, i think your shots are good. i've always used as high a resolution as possible. higher origin == higher end result, period.
if your camera supports filters, you might want to look into uv to cut haze or polarizing to reduce reflection and enhance the sky. i haven't messed with them too much, though, cause they're kinda a pain in the ass.
one thing to watch is your horizon, it looks like the covered bridge shot is a little off. the small house and tree on the lake is much more visible, though.

Yep - would love to get the higher resolution - just need the money. Unfortunately no filters on the crap point and shoot - that's what PS is for though. I've used a few filters on my 35mm and you can get some great effects - if you need a soft focus take a uv lens and spread a thin layer of Vaseline over it
The bridge shot I actually composed that way - I was laying as close to the water as I could and shooting up at it. I did choose some odd perspectives that people aren't really used to I guess.
