Hi, I'm Jeremy ... long time lurker.
About meh: 33, living in Southeast Florida and trying to avoid hurricanes (still can't get the "evasive maneuvers" button on my house to work).
For lots of weird and unusual reasons, I've worked in a newsroom most of my life. I've recently gotten away from the reporter thing and have been working on Web stuff ... lots of work with databases.
In my spare time, I help raise a 6-year-old evil genius and console old newsroom guys who think they are going to be laid off soon. I still read comic books, still play video games and generally have avoided as many grown-up things in this world as possible.
So thanks for having me.
P.S. If you really do work in the same company as me -- I agree with every decision ever made there and have no problem with corporate life.

I'm not sure it's worthwhile. Going through the newb pit forum, almost none of the newbs who posted therein stuck around anyway. Perhaps one day I'll be redeclaring open dumbskull season on newbs.
