Any of you start on the first Battlrfield and play the Desert Combat mod? Check out the newest version of DC for BF2 it's a free download and after playing for a couple hours I'm really enjoying it.

Huh, I need to check this out. Clabbis and I have spent many hours playing the first one, I like to shoot him in this one as well.
Is the A-10 as fucking badass as the previous version?

No shit. If it's half as good as the first DC mod, I'd be all over it. BF2 didn't have quite the magic that the original seemed to possess, but I'd hit this up if the mod ankles up the awesome.

After playing for a few days now I am still enjoying it. It brings back some good stuff like player called arty strikes and mobile arty, dumbfire rockets, surface to air missles, faster tanks, smoother jumping, being able to spawn in transports like the C-130...It's the perfect blend of BF2 and CS:S.
Haven't seen an A-10 yet, but I remember that bad ass sound it would make flying over you.
EDIT: sounds cool, has that slow-screaming sound to it.
