I've got an 52" HDTV, but I never used anything higher than regular DVD quality. I didn't even know that Discovery was in HD - how much do you pay for HD cable? How many channels do you get? Wanna spoon?

I pay 60 bucks or so for 30 HD channels through dish.

We had digital cable before we got the 42" plasma. It's bundled with the cable modem iternet, and the wife deals with all the bill stuff (cause otherwise we'd be on the streets), so I don't really know how much that package was/is. However, I do know that to get the HD box with dual tuner DVR from Comcast was only like $5/Mo more than we had been paying anyway.
It's fucking cool.
I swear I thought this started This Sunday, and so I have missed the first three. Just put the repeats in the DVR for Saturday night. Entered the rest of the series to be recorded, too. Never tried to record 11 hours of HD. I wonder how much Battlestar Galactica (which I am desperately behind on watching) I will lose.

Dent: I have the same service as shitbox. By far, its the best bang for the buck out there. Dish bought out VOOM a year or so ago and now shows all the VOOM original HD content with their HD package.
And yes, that planet earth series is pretty sweet.
