I noticed that this topic hadnt seen much action lately, and beings that Im tired of either reading about the absurdly corrupt administration or whatever bizarre story that has been frequenting all of the other linkdumps, I have decided to post about one of my few real passions: Ninja muthafucking Gaiden.
This may be the hardest videogame available for the Xbox and imo certainly one of the most rewarding; playing this game is nearly an artform in itself. Anyhow the real reason behind this post is this:

Yes. The bizarre thing about this game, from a game balance perspective, was how retardedly easy (and pretty) all the battles are, right up until you get to the boss battle, which is impossibly hard. I never made it to boss 3, and then only because people would come over and end up getting past bosses 1 and 2 for me. I lost interest.

True. I've just seen some dude killing little mechanical helicopter things in the water, and now wish I had found a way to keep playing.

Games used to be harder, y'know?
I liked NG:B. It took me a little while to get back in the saddle, but I had already beaten the original Xbox version twice.
I beat God of War II in one session. So, yeah, I wish all games were at least as hard as NG:B. |

DMC1 was the easiest fucking game ever. I beat it 3 times over one weekend.
The Getaway is a sweet game that will get you white knuckling the controller more than a few times, and the lack of any HUD whatsoever is fucking awesome. Even on easy, this shit is a pain in the ass (in a fun way)

I had to beat it in one session. I only had one day free over spring break to devote to it, so a friend and I tag teamed it. We took a single one-hour break to go get food. I smoked two packs of cigarettes.
Usually, I would beat a game like that over four or five days.
Still, it was way too easy on "Spartan," which is the default setting. If you play it, I recommend switching to hard mode before starting a new game. |

anyone clear master ninja on NGB? or Eternal Legend for that matter? i cant clear level one on master ninja.....
whats your longest recorded combo? i hit 150 on the large staircase...
for those of you who have since dismissed the PS3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma loox to be pretty enticing, and thats an understatement. Oy, and you can play as Rachel.... and Ayane |
