then check your LS mail. The LS mailserver is changing today or tomorrow and you should probably know about it.
If you're considering putting me through the poignant hell of asking me how to configure your mail client to get your mail, then you don't need to, since this means you don't use the current setup and it's just going to change in a couple days anyway. I'll post here when that happens.
When it does happen, configuring your mail client will be a lot easier, you'll get a lot less spam, and you'll get to use GMail as a (actual, really working) webmail interface.

Good question -- but watch this. I'll simply set up a filter that preemptively deletes all mail you send at the precise moment it leaves your outbox. BOO, YA, 100% ultimate privacy, respek.

I was all set to do this today and then I gayed something up like a dumbass and now I have to wait five days to kick it off.
In the interim, let's pick names. Normally I'm all sorts of happy to name shit, but this is kind of too technical/standards for me to have much creativity about it. Two things need names:
1) The start page.
2) The GMail webpage.
The start page is a neat little Google homepage thing that has some nifty LinkSwarm-specific shit on it. It includes a box summarizing your recent mails, which, when clicked upon, takes you to the GMail webpage. You can, if you like, avoid/ignore the start page, if you don't find these things useful (I never do) and go right to the GMail webpage.
Right now, I'm using my.linkswarm.com for the start page, which is a little too cute for comfort, and webmail.linkswarm.com for the GMail page. These make sense, communicate the goal, and are memorable, but they're not very awesome.
Anyone have any smart ideas? Please keep in mind I'm a vain prick about my nomenclature and prefer everything to be completely top-notch wootfritters.

the only thing i can think of for mails is communiques.etc. this is bad because:
a) i'm probably the only one who thinks 'communique' is somewhat funny
b) it's too long for its own good
c) kinda non-intuitive; clever and useful are not the same
of course you could use assfuck.etc and fuckass.etc...

The start page is cortex.linkswarm.com. That DNS entry may take a bit to get around to you; you can use the old one for now: my.linkswarm.com. (When my breaks, switch to cortex.)
Webmail is available at webmail.linkswarm.com for those of you with an account. If you're not sure if you have an account, you don't. If you'd like this to change, email me using email. The webmail link in your LS user account page is a bad joke and is no indication and I should take it down.
To recap, here are the accounts that can log into this webmail page at the moment...

Log in using that accountname and your old password for LinkSwarm mail. Bobo, sexninja, your guys' password is your old password with 123 tacked onto the end, because you are both gay.
In case you don't want to use the webmail interface, here's the Google help on configuring your regular mail client to get your LinkSwarm Gmail.
A note: if you log in to any Google page with the account I've listed here, you'll have access to your webmail from all Google pages. That is, if you sign in to the cortex startpage, you'll have access to your webmail. If you sign in to google.com itself, you'll have access to your webmail. I know all these URLs can be kind of confusing, but the upshot is: log in with this account to any Google page, and you're in.
EDIT: Also, check your spam folder on Gmail regularly. I expect Gmail's spam filters to kick the shit out of my old ones, and about half the reason I made this switch was to start getting less spam. By default, if you set up a regular email client to access this new account, it'll only pull down mail from the Inbox folder -- not the Spam folder. You can change that in the account settings, but I'd make sure Gmail's spam filters were doing the right thing before I did that.
EDIT EDIT: Also, go into Settings > Accounts > Edit info and change your contact name to whatever you want your name to be when you send an email. Currently, you're all named some variant of Doodoo Brown.
