I must have tried every OS out there for a PC. Linux Mandrake, Red Hat, Slackware. Then in windows 95, 98, 98se, me, 00'. The only thing that I havent tried yet is instaling a Mac OS on my PC and windows XP. Any of you running XP find it runs games good? I heard somewhere that 2000 wasent the best OS for games and since XP was based on that platform...

I currently use 2k. However, benchmarks I've read basically state that XP is better for gaming, compared to 2k. I'd reccomend XP only because it will be better supported by games in the future. |

The interface for XP is sucky, imo. It just has a very crappy "feel" to it. I was told by KHZ that you can set it to emulate win2k. Perhaps that will make it better. Personally, I like win98 and win2k. 98 is good because it is fairly stable, doesn't need too many resources, and is somewhat easy on the eyes. When I get a new puter, it will be win2k for me...my current box can't support it.

I've run W2K comfortably on an aging-ass PII 233 MMX with 142 MB of RAM. You can do it. It's not lightning-speed, but I was running Server with Terminal Services and screwing with IIS and it served as my main box for about a year.
(I had a very modern harddisk installed, which speeded things up considerably.)

WTF, speaky Engrish? WTF, KOLL? Modern. Harddisk. Yeah.
Let me guess -- you refer to your harddisk as "my Windows", in vague fetal reference to the idea of one day installing any OS besides XP Home Edition on the disk. Or? You call it your "C-Drive," not realizing how superfluous that is given that you've only got the one partition, which is 65% pr0n, 10% 0-day warez, and 10% ripped MPEGs of anything with Adam Sandler in it.
Anyway. Yeah. A modern hard disk. As opposed to the CPU you dunked in hot water in order to firm up your chances of getting a return from that Taiwanese seller. Good job, hotshot. ^__^
