In Vasudeva's future linkswarm features poll, I made the suggestion that Linkswarm would benefit from having an official clipswarm of the very bestest of the bestest links ever to fall under swarm scrutiny. He liked the idea enough to request I start an officially approved and sanctioned forum thread to kick off the effort.
So. Find you favorite swarmed links and post them for consideration as follows:
VASUDEVA: The best way to vote I can think of is to go make a comment with the words 'clipswarm' and any form of the word 'vote' in the link's comment page. E.g...
Official clipswarm vote
or
voting for the official clipswarm thing
Just make sure the words "vot" ("vote", "voted", "voting", etc) and "clipswarm" are in there. In a few weeks I'll query out everybody's votes in a new thread, tally up the winning links, and I'll use that as the default clipswarm instead of the stupid random thing people see now. Maybe we can so something else cool with it, too.
As I see it, the links could come from any category but should stand way the fuck out from the rest in some significant way, even if that way is in their horrible lameness.

Wouldn't do much good, since they can't as yet be clipswarmed. This is a much-requested and promised feature of LS2.0.
EDIT: However, since this feature will be available SomeDay, you could always go ahead and vote now. I won't be able to do much with it for some time, but if you're hot to trot...

Can you make a list of everything that has been voted on even once? Those of us (well, maybe I'm the only one) that have been trawling the oldest links for lost gems may find something awesome that nobody else votes on only because it has been lost and forgotten. If there was a complete list of voted on stuff others could have the opportunity to cast votes or not.

My how time flies. Thanks for digging this back up.
So I figure I can do some or all of the following things here...
1) Put this list on top of the popular page
2) Make it the default clipswarm for newbs
3) Something else...?
Seeking especially open-minded input on this because I'm at something of a loss for anything cooler than default clipswarm.
I figure the top 15 would suffice, since at that point we're already scraping the bottom of the interest barrel to the point that there's 1 vote, but the 15th one does include delicious freakbass filth.

Why not just ask what the 15(0) most clipswarmed links are in the db? It would be a more accurate reflection of what people like, without them having to vote for it - make machines do the work or Skynet has already won.
