Mother was previously divorced. My mother and father have been married over thirty-nine years, although they only should have lasted a few. I'm fortunate enough to have married a woman that straightened out my ways (with relationships... broke the bad habits learned from the parents), and we have been going strong for nine years. Most of my friends were from stable homes, so I think that my experience isn't typical of the rest of the US. |
