i've checked out a few vids for upcoming ps3 title resistance:fall of man, and to be honest, wasn't impressed.
My reasons? looked derivative of call of duty/medal of honor games, they've just stuck in some aliens and different modeled guns. the graphics quality, didn't look as spectacular as i'd expect from a next gen console thats been in development for so long now, i know its a crappy flash video preview but still not convinced its any better than gears of war or lost planet.
and something that really switched me off, the bullets. the dev team might thought it would look cool to have the bullets visible as they wizz past your head, but to slow them down enough that you or an enemy has time to see them coming and move out the way, not my bag of tricks really.
yeah there's a lot going on, flying debris/dust, action etc.. but doesn't seem to cut it. the team should have stuck with the spyro series.
personally, crysis is giving me a geek boner, and bioshock, so the ps3 better pull something better out of its overdue bloated ass

I've played the game for about 10-15 hours. Single player is pretty decent. It's big on atmosphere and the weapons are very creative.
Where it really shines though is multiplayer. I've been having a blast with it. It's very fast paced, and the maps scale based on the numbers of players (up to 40!). I played on a 32 player server the other night and it was not only fun as hell, but it also didn't feel like a crowded bloodbath.
