vasudeva: Incidentally, I consider the dynamics of John Carpenter's The Thing to have the Zombie Nature.
Agreed. It always was about the slow, creeping, unstoppable nature. A single guy (Freddy, Jason, M. M, etc) you can run from. You can trap and blow up. W/E. But a huge swirling mass? WTF do you do? All you can do is run, and eventually you run out of places to go.
That's Zombie Horror

No one mentioned The Omega Man with Charlton Heston, that (very) loosely counts as a zombie movie. I remember liking it, maybe it deserves to be on the top ten list.
Then there was Night of the Comet. 80's trash rules. |

Good movie, but top 10 zombie movies? In your dreams, you dangerously crazy asshole.

We just watched that not too long ago. Lil piles o' red dust. The ending is like some kind of terrible '80s clothing nightmare.

I've never been a big fan of zombie films and haven't even seen half of the ones posted in this thread but 28 Days Later and Shaun of the Dead are the ones that come to mind as being pretty decent. |

The Walking Dead is great, so far I have read up to volume 4. If it does become a film it'll be awesome. |

Walking Dead as a HBO TV Show would be better.... Cause it could be never ending... just like the creators want the comic to be |

My bible. I await the Zombie Apocalypse.
Have you guys heard anything about the newest movie from the guys from Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz? Looks gewd.
The Survival Guide dude also wrote "World War Z" which I listened to in audio book format. Pretty decent. There will be a movie about it in the near future for consideration.

My favorite since I was an impressionable teen?
Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2: In Shocking 2-D.
Pretty much a redub of the original NotLD. But good. Because there's poop jokes.
I know you like poop jokes. |

I've only seen 3 zombie movies.
Here be the ranks:
1.Dawn of the Dead(remake)
2.Shaun of the Dead
3.Land of the Dead.
I'd like to see Dead Alive but can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions?
