Here is something I have always wondered:
When and how do you know it's time to get a haircut? Do you have a specific style that cannot work after a certain length? Do your bangs get too long to spike correctly (vas excluded)? When is the cut-off where you either get a haircut or only wear a hat?
My self personally, I go by my ears. If my hair grows long enough and touches the top of my ear, I go fucking nuts. When this happens I know that my hair is unmanageable and I will wear a hat until I get it cut. This is usually between 3 and 4 weeks. Longer than a month and I am afraid to go outside.
Do other men worry about or think about this or am I just a fag?

Dude.
I usually let the back of my neck dictate hair cutting time. If it gets all hairy and long and my hair is short as I have it currently, then I usually just get it cut. Sometimes I dont cut it for months and months.
So yeah, you a fag.

Used to wear it long - now I cannot stand it long - too hot, too much work to take care of, takes too long to dry after shower. Cut it when it starts to look bad or is uncomfortable. Do not give others the satisfaction of calling you faggy (unless, of course, you really do like it that way).

I feel your pain, Dent.
When my hair touches the top of my ears I throw a shitfit. Once it gets a little longer than that, it indeed will not spike correctly, and I break out the hat.
Usually, I mark off three weeks from my last cut on the calendar. When I get to that third week on the calendar, I start putting "Cut My Fuking Mop" on my to-do list. Most times I can budget the time for a trip to the salon, but sometimes I can't. Those are bad weeks :<

Sometimes I go as long as two weeks between taking the clippers to my hair and shaving it back to stubble.
