I just put my first item up on eBay. It's a bundle of press kits for 2006 movies.
I would like to know how fellow swarmers have used eBay. What have you sold? How much money have you made? How do you usually do?

Back when 'Beanie Babies' were in their hayday, wrecker wife worked in a specialty toy store that sold them. Through her I could buy huge amounts of them for like $2 each and then successfully turn them around for about $40 each. I made an obscene amount of cash this way.
More recently, I have used Half.com (affiliated with Ebay) to buy and sell my college textbooks. I have done pretty well with this as well.
When I have sold stuff, I typically run a week long auction and start the bidding low. Make sure you have a good description of the item and pictures.
What exactly is included in a movie press kit?? Link to your auction?

I get press kits every week at the newspaper. They come to us about a month before the movie opens, sometimes sooner, and usually feature a DVD filled with high-quality pics and some videos. Sometimes they are packaged in strange or unique ways. Duece Bigelow was in a huge condom package.
