There are some philosophers, and here I'm thinking specifically of Frantz Fannon, that believe in violence. In his particular case, he believed that in order for a society to function after colonialism, and without the tainted feelings that would obviously result from such a system, violent revolution must occur in order to purge said society. In fact, violence as purgative force is a common theme in philosophy, film (Straw Dogs), and literature. Did anyone ever stop to think that some violence can result in good things?

It’s a nice drum beating sentiment, but where has it been successful in the last 100 years, I’m pretty sure that Algeria isn’t the Utopia he envisioned. Fanon’s sentiment has been taken up by black radicals who now argue for reverse apartheid against the Whites, and feminists who teach hatred of the penis, I just can’t back this play.
