I gots mine.
Now what? SRSLY, I don't own a PSP and I don't know what use these could be to me. Any suggestions?

Apparently, Sony's UMD tools, better known as UMD Composer, has been leaked onto the internet this week. The tools are used by licensed developers to make the games you come to enjoy.
The tool set contains the following:
* System File Editor 1.0
* UMD Image Checker 1.10
* UMD Image Generator 1.2.7
* UMD Stream Composer 1.5
* UMD Stream Viewer 1.5
But you may have a hard time actually creating anything of use unless you're able to read Japanese, because all the read-me files are written in Japanese.

Actually burning a UMD...problem.
I've read a bit about how the discs are actually engineered, and they seem to have alot of physical DRM, like the disc size, and the fact that there is only one plant that does UMD replication in the US. Also that the discs are encased in those weird ass palstic thingies. Some say thet they actually spinn in reverse and that they read from the outside in (or whatever is reverse of the norm. So that's a bit of a hurdle.
But In theory, a person could create a UMD image file and then load that to a USB drive that's hacked into your PSP. Then, just run your homebrew apps/games/p!rat3d game software movie whatever from the drive. The PSP should, in theory, recognize the image file and proceed to run it like a UMD. The only problem would be using a kick disc or something to make the PSP think that there is an actual UMD in the PSP.
Fix't?? Or usless drivel? You decide!!!

My brother has a PSP and has loaded this or similar software on to it(told me 5 days ago). It does alot of wierd shit i'm unaware of(including USB hookup to his PC). Ill ask him about it tomorrow.

Allow me to be the first to advance the thought that if you don't even have a handle on basic optical drive operation (ie: which way the fuking disc spins), you'll probably have a tough time figuring out the rest of it. Or any of the other retarded tech shit you praddle on endlessly about.
God love ya for trying to expand your personal knowledge base, but damn, niger....take some fuking babysteps. Go read some O'Reilly shit or whatever.
I mean FFS, your original question was the equivalent of someone saying, "Hey doods, I've got this AWESOME Nero program that, like, writes, um, like, INFORMATION to these SUPERMEGAREMARKABLE little silvery disc thingies. But, I, like, don't have any of those discs, or, ya know, like a DRIVE that will, um, like, write to them and stuff. So, um, my question is, can I still totally rock out with Nero or what? My bro said you can do cool shit like upload roms, which i suppose are like games similar to the way the are set up on a modded x-box?
He also said that this app turns his psp into an internet browsing swampdonkey machine(cause it already has a wireless 812.2paosjfaolhf card in it) sooo, fuck it that my two cents.
He said the emulators are version specific to the software that sony has pre-installed on your PSP.(same hardware-different and software on later versions)
The specific hack he used was one that exploited a hole in the GTA game. He said it allowed him to transfer shit or access his memory by bypassing the sony software.
Anyway. He's isnt using the sony software.
