i downloaded the album about three months before it was released commercially. the only worthwhile song on it was "crazy," but i got tired of it after about a month or so.
suddenly like 10 weeks later it's a huge hit and i can't go anywhere without hearing a song that i'm already sick of from being overplayed.
this band was seriously just a calculated pop effort with a "different" twist. kind of like how maroon 5 was at one point.

Your MP3 is derivative fingerpainting garbage.
Personally i dont think its garbage, its certainly not great though. As a pastiche of post-rock and Gnarls Barkley combined it does what it says on the tin. Got a uber-high mark for it though, which just goes to show how skewed "music" degrees really are.
Ill see if i can get hold of some of the others that people in my group did, one guy did a fucking hilarious swing pastiche of it where he sung the lyrics but added the words "mama" and "bitches" after every line. It made Gnarls Barkley sound like a pimp from Northern England.

not all pop is worthless, just an awful lot of it. frankly, i was pretty surprised when i saw this thread, because i was under the assumption that most people here would see through this "band", but...LK does apparently like wolfmother... |
