This is where we discuss movies that we have boners over.
I’ll start off with an unconventional pick:
It’s a Guillermo del Toro movie called Pan’s Labyrinth.
Crazy production stills.
Official site with trailer.
It looks bizarre and cool, and based solely on the visuals, it looks good.
Unconventional pick #2: Daft Punk’s Electroma
Production stills on a French site.
Gossip from a poster on IMDb says:
I was kind of buzzed, so I don't remember exact details, but it goes something like this: The two guys come to Earth (I think) and discover that everyone is a robot, and I believe they take their helmets off to discover that they are not and that they are...Human After All. I could be wrong about most of that, but it's that sort of story. Like that one Twilight Zone episode where the girl is led to belive that she's uglier than everyone until we discover that everyone else is ugly except her. Anyway, I believe this guy's story, because he told me that they were filming a week before their performance at Coachella in the desert. Then I checked those movie shots and they are, in fact, in the California desert.
Now for a conventional pick: I know that you’re all super gay for Superman Returns.

Video game Trailer (XBOX 360)
Production Stills
There’s that old standby, James Bond, in his new movie Casino Royale. It has the usual Bond potential to suck goat dick, but he supposedly will have fewer weapons and a sweet Aston Martin. Perhaps they will spend some cash on the script this time.
Info on the movie, the car, the villains.
At least dude looks like he’s in spy shape.
Speaking of movies that have the potential to suck, we have The Passion of the Clerks…er, Clerks 2, I guess. Kevin Smith, please don’t make this another Jersey Girl.
Official Site that shows that Jason Mewes, the crackhead, actually looks better than the two schmucks from Clerks.
Several interesting quotes regarding the film here.
From left field, here come the over the hill movies you never asked for:
First is Rocky Balboa, which involves Rocky being a trainer who is lured out of retirement for one more fight. Don’t believe me? Check here to see Rocky in the ring, as well as an exclusive clip of the film. Sly looks pretty decent for an old dude, but let’s hope that this is a return to Rocky #1, as Sly promised, and not some more bullshit like every Rocky movie after that.
In a similar vein, we have Indiana Jones 4, which, let’s face it, might not happen. I do hope that it does, because as a kid I loved these movies, and I used to tell people (at age 5) that I wanted to be an archaeologist.
Here’s the rumor mill, mostly regarding script rewrites that should enable this project to get off the ground.
I guess this counts, but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may have an animated feature coming soon. Supposedly it will be “darker” than previous incarnations, so let’s hope that if it happens, it doesn’t totally suck.
Other movies that may come out in the near future:
Jurassic Park IV
Batman Begins Sequel
Old School 2 (although the director is on record saying that it won’t happen)
Die Hard 4.0
The Flash
Wolverine
Jackass 2
Movies that I don’t have a boner for, but will come out anyway:
Spiderman 3 (Tobey McGuire is not enough of a smartass to be Spiderman)
Harry Potter (the next two installments)
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Pirates of the Caribbean (the one that is coming out and a proposed third already)
Shrek (3 and a proposed 4)
Miami Vice
Ocean’s Thirteen
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Terminator 4
The A-Team
Rush Hour 3
Garfield 2 (The fuck??)
The Omen 666
Charlotte’s Web

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Haha. We saw the trailer for this waiting for Mission Impossible 3. It seems perfect that the Fast-n-Furious franchise got a breath of fresh air by using a script based on a single, cheesy, over-rated car move.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
I would mutter ominous things about this, but I missed the first one, because the books themselves ruined the books for me, once I grew up, learned about allegory and Christians and re-read them.
Not gay for Superman.
Not gay for anything, in fact. If I have to have a boner it's a toss-up between borrowing yours or pining for the sequel to Batman Begins, which must be the best thing I've seen in the theater since LOTR.
Definitely a lot of movies above I had no idea about. Thanks.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
This could be cool if they do it right. "Prince Caspian" was one of the better books in the series.
I saw the first "Chronicles" with my younger sister because she likes the books (it's been a while since I've read them) and it was ok. It was very tame in terms of violence though, a lot more tame than I remember from the books. They were selling it as a childrens' movie, of course. The religious aspect seemed always to stay in the background and certainly didn't ruin the movie at all.
Saw the trailer for the new Superman before MI:III and wasn't impressed. It had an insane budget too, which makes me think they made something as simple as Superman complicated and therefore stupid and over-done.
The only movie I really, really want to see is the new Pirates of the Caribbean. The trailer before MI:III for it had a motherfucking "Summon the Kraken! moment in it for christ's sake.
Garfield 2 (The fuck??)
hahaha oh my god. This can't be real.
